Montague is proud to announce Plato Courseware
for our online educational options.
If you are interested in online learning opportunities through MHS please contact Mrs. Plunkett in the counseling office. We are currently able to offer course both during the school day and for students outside of school hours.
Lakes Program
Montague High School offers a credit recovery program for any students 9-12 who may need to recover a credit due to failure and/or attendance issues. These classes must be scheduled through the counseling office and only during our enrollment period.
The Lakes Program allows students to recover credits through our Plato courseware during a class hour of their day. These are small classes with a highly qualified teacher to provide support and guidance through the program.
Online Learning - outside of school opportunity
All of our courses through Plato require counselor and parent permission.
Please note students may only enroll in courses during our enrollment period and must be completed at the end of the grading period. All courses and grades earned will be transcribed on students official transcript.

The State of Michigan, under Section 21f of the State School Aid Act, allows parents to request that their student(s), in grades 5-12, be enrolled in no more than two (2) online courses in place of a currently scheduled course. Montague Area Public Schools supports online learning in cases in which student s and parents understand the opportunity.
Parents should carefully consider whether an online course is ideal for their child. The following documents should help in making these decisions. Please contact your child’s school for more information.
